Description
Set to the enchanting music of Mendelssohn and adapted from Shakespeare, this hilarious comedy, follows the intertwining plots of a fairy king and queen and two sets of lovers, as they dance through a magical forest. This ballet, directed by SDCYB Artistic Director Danika Pramik-Holdaway, features students, Martina Sbicca in the principal role of ‘Titania – Queen of the Fairies’, and Elsie Molenaar as ‘Puck’, together with special guest artists Xavier Hicks, John Velasco and Paul Lingren in the roles of Oberon, Lysander and Demetrius.
All performances take place in the Casa del Prado Theater in Balboa Park.

San Diego Civic Youth Ballet has been serving the youth of San Diego with classical ballet training and performance opportunities for over 67 years. SDCYB strives to provide an environment that nurtures a love of the art of ballet as well as embraces and celebrates the diversity of our students.
Located in Balboa Park, the San Diego Civic Youth Ballet resides in room 209 of the Casa del Prado. SDCYB teaches students classical ballet technique, organizes performance opportunities, participates in educational outreach programs, and provides fun and interactive performances to the public.
